How to downloada copy of your policy
The process is much the same at every Israeli insurer, and takes a few minutes.
Why the document is needed
A detailed, professional report is built from the policy itself rather than from a description of it: what is covered and to what limit, what it costs, what overlaps cover you already hold, and what is missing. Without the document we can only speak in generalities.
Three steps
Sign in to your personal area
Go to your insurer's website and open "אזור אישי" or the policyholder login. Identification is usually an ID number plus a one-time code sent to your phone.
You are identifying yourself to your own insurer. Nothing from this step reaches MediMe.
Open your documents
Look for a section along the lines of "My documents", "Document archive" or "My policies", and filter to health insurance.
Download two files as PDF
Both are needed, and each answers a different question:
- The insurance specification pageA short document, usually two to four pages, listing who is insured, what is covered, the monthly cost and the dates it runs.
- The full policy termsThe booklet setting out the rights and the exclusions. The specification alone does not show what is excluded, and that is usually where the gaps turn out to be.
Not sure which company holds your cover?
Har HaBituach, the Capital Market Authority's official register, shows every policy registered in your name and points you to the right company.
Go to Har HaBituachThe full terms are not in your personal area
Your insurer's service centre or your own agent can send them to you. It is a routine request and they are obliged to provide it.
What happens next
Once you have the files, reply to the message you received from MediMe and attach them. If it is easier to arrange authorisation for us to obtain the documents from your insurer, write to us and we will explain how.
